Is this a game you are installing from heroic or is it the steam version? If this is from a heroic install do not do this with the steam shortcut as heroic manages this

looks like this game is steam deck verified
should just work out of the box
granted you have 8 gb ram minimum system requirements list 16gb
and to play games in linux you usually need a bit more ram than in windows
