When im downloading it set game to use Proton GE latest instead btw
You can grab Proton GE latest within Wine Manager of Heroic
Left side of the GUI
Then set it in game settings page of Heroic

Yep, game prompted me to install some visual c stuff i clicked yes, it installed and ran fine afterwards
better try with a clean prefix

Ok, now try this.
Open up settings of Heroic for that game again.
In Advanced, you should see "environment variables"
In there put these two
PROTON_USE_WINED3D as key , 1 as value
WINE_D3D_CONFIG as key, renderer=vulkan as config
