switch to proton-ge, use heroic's wine manager to install it, and then change the game's wine settings to use it

Thank you, I tried installing ge proton latest and running the game using that. However it is still stuck in the game's initial loading phase. Should I be using another proton ge?

in the game's settings, advanced, check then uncheck the disable umu box

I tried running the game once in checked first, and once after unchecking the disable umu box.
After running it in unchecked, it launched slower and upon closing the game it becomes not responding

Sorry, only have this steam deck for like two weeks hahaha. How do I disable DXVK-NVAPI on the deck? Would it be via the konsole?

no its just an option in the game's settings page in heroic

in the latest releases of heroic the nvapi option is on by default cause it should internally ignore anything when it detects an AMD gpu, it shouldn't make any difference to toggle it on or off (at least that's what I understand)
cc @OOOOOF123 just in case to confirm, but I think we can ignore that in general in support threads

I’m on autopilot most of the time I see it. In this case though, it’s looking to do something specific with the NV decoder which was an odd thing to see

Hi all, tried yesterday to untick the auto install/update DXVK-NVAPI on prefix. Ran it, didn't work.
Today, just now I was just trying to run it again to see if anything change or if I should just get a refund. Miraculously it works all of a sudden hahaha. Was there some kind of new patch or update on the proton side of things
But thank you to everybody nonetheless
