Save path error when trying to upload saves to cloud (Epic Games)
Hey I'm not that familiar with Heroic Launcher but I started using it a lot to play Kingdom Come Deliverance on Mac. I'm really happy with how it's running but I can't seem to get cloud saves to work. When I try to manually upload them, I get the error shown in the image. What can I do to give Heroic permission to the game folder (I think that's what this error is saying)? Thank you very much for any info

they are, yes
the save stuff isn't showing up in the global log, which i thought it did...
maybe send the legendary log?
confirmed that it should show up in both the Heroic and Legendary logs..

I'm not completely sure if this is the legendary log but it was labelled "Epic/Legendary"

i'm not seeing any evidence of an attempted sync
reproduce the sync error, then provide the global and legendary logs again

no there shouldn't be a save file currently
that's why I'm trying to upload one
when I click upload it just get's stuck on "syncing"
force upload gives the error shown in both the images I uploaded

the only thing I can think of that could have caused this issue is I recently had this laptop wiped and restored through a backup
could that have somehow not given heroic full file privileges?
the problem is on macOS, the app has to request permission to a certain directory for me to give it access
I can't give it manually I don't think

it shows kcd is now not installed even tho its still on my drive
by import, do you mean I just click add game?
yeah im lost lol. idk where the executable is even stored 😅

reinstalled heroic
then imported kcd
still getting the same error

yeah, that error's messaging is weird
it seems like you're doing stuff right
you're signed in, the credentials aren't the issue...
what the permissions may be the issue, but i don't know a lot about bottles
i think i'm going to need to leave it to another person to chime in

macos is uusally really restrictive on letting apps mess around with files
that might be related

typically the app needs to request for access before I can allow it
currently I can see the app has access to my documents folder and nothing else
It'd probably have to request access to my home directory or "full disk access"

of all games kcd has broken cloud saves 😭. saves are so vital

How does it fare on Rattay?

pretty well. I can go up to very high settings with hd texture pack on
I also manually maxed out all the draw distance settings
getting about 50-60fps
it drops to 30-40 in cutscenes for whatever reason tho

No, i mean frametiming and cpu load when you are passing through Rattay
Some cutscenes are capped
Some are uncapped

tbh I barely know how to read frametime graph or even see cpu load so I have no clue if those stats answer your question 😅. I do know I rarely get stutters during gameplay

I was able to find a workaround to fix this issue by manually adding Heroic to the list of applications allowed that have "Full Disk Access". You can find this page in the privacy and security section on macOS
Click the + icon from the list and manually add Heroic from the applications folder.
After doing this, I can now upload cloud saves for kcd1

I assume full disk access is needed for wherever kcd is storing their save files. That's probably why this isn't a widespread issue across many games
