Vanilla Fade Mode does nothing regardless of chosen setting?

Title. Attached picture is using Complementary Reimagined shaders, a compatible shader, on a NeoForge server. This screenshot is taken with the Vanilla Fade Mode set to double-pass, but you can see the hard boundary. I am on this server with my girlfriend, and she has identical mods as well as identical settings. This abrupt boundary is not there for her. I'm hesitantly guessing that this is a problem regarding the graphics card I have, since it's a very new release, but I'm really hoping the answer is easier than that. Mods: - AppleSkin 3.0.6 - DH 2.3.0-b - Ferrite Core 7.1.2 - ImmediatelyFast 1.8.0 - Iris 1.8.8 - Lithium 0.15.0 - ModernFix 5.20.3 - Sodium 0.6.10 - Sodium Extra 0.6.1

Shaders overwrite the fading setting Some shaders have it, some dont

Yes, and Complementary is supposed to be compatible. Again, my girlfriend has identical settings to mine, we both have it on High with all defaults set. This barrier is not extant on her end. So, this is an issue of vanilla overdraw/fade, isn't it? Or do I need to take this to the shader's discord I've combed the shader settings for a combined twenty minutes and I can't find anything relating to fade

that a shader is compatible doesnt mean it has implemented the fade some shaders have it, some dont complementary doesnt have it the abrupt boundry not being there for her is impossible, if she's also using complementary perhaps it is hard to see because of a lack of pixels because the resolution is too low or the boundry is too far away
