Very low FPS in CS2 on Bazzite

After i helped my friend with installing and configuring Bazzite, we ran into an issue where his performance in CS2 is very poor. It usually runs around 120 FPS on Windows. On Linux though, his performance dips to even as low as 20 FPS very often, and generally the game runs ~50fps slower. We tried a lot of launch arguments. He is running Wayland, we tried to install X11, but it crashes. Is there any way to fix it on Wayland? If not, would X11 help?
