Thief gold (gog) not playing cutscenes on heroic
Hi im just starting out with playing games on linux, i just got thief gold and got it running but the cutscenes wont play
im not sure if its an issue with the gog version or if i would need tfix for it

no because in all the spots a cutscene would play it just jumps immediatly to the game

turn off use dedicated GPU
and also switch to GE-Proton
Wine-GE is rather old now (last release is almost a year ago) and thus might not work correctly. Please follow these instructions on using GE-Proton:
1. Head to the Wine Manager in Heroic, click the "Proton-GE" tab, and install "Proton-GE-Latest"
2. Head to the settings for your game(s) (icon on game card in library). In the "Wine Version" dropdown, select "Proton - Proton-GE-latest"
3. Rename your Wineprefix (path is shown in game settings), e.g. from
current-name to current-name_bak. To clarify: Rename the actual folder on your hard drive, do not change the option in the game settings.
Note: This will make game-specific configuration data (e.g. in-game settings or save files) unavailable. If this is an issue, let us know & we'll help you restore them.vicious-goldOP•3mo ago

Well when i try the proton it says it cant find my gpu and puts me on a black screen

He has one gpu so that setting doesnt affect anything

Fair, i was on proton and someone on there used old wine and it worked for them
Ok so the game will run on proton8-9
But cutscenes still wont play
Great news, for some reason going to Wine GE proton7-27 the cutscenes run
