Is there a way to switch to X11? plasma-workspace-x11 crashes

My friend has been having some trouble with Wayland (on bazzite-nvidia, GTX 1050 Ti) and I've been wondering whether switching to X11 could fix many performance issues he encounters (Significant FPS drops + constant stutters in games). X11 logs show this:

[   538.170] (II) LoadModule: "nvidia"
[   538.170] (WW) Warning, couldn't open module nvidia
[   538.170] (EE) Failed to load module "nvidia" (module does not exist, 0)
[   538.170] (EE) No drivers available.
[   538.170] (EE)


So far, my other friend with a GTX 1660 Ti hasn't experienced any of those issues. Could this also be caused by a pre-16xx card?

My question is: How to switch to X11 to check if it fixes anything? It is probably unsupported, but still, did anyone find a workaround?
