Heroic on Windows 11- keeps downloading Wine on launch (940MB)- Why?
Apologies if this is the wrong place to ask this question. For what purpose does Windows Heroic take up 940 MB of space with Wine? It seems unnecessary to me. Is it currently possible to disable this?
I ask because I'm trying out Heroic as a way to free up the extra space used by the bloated official launchers, but as long as it keeps doing this, it's actually taking up more space on my drive.

Hm, looking at the code for auto-downloading Wine, it's certainly supposed to not download anything if you're on Windows
Could you
1. delete the Wine version
2. re-do your actions in Heroic that trigger the download (does it happen on Heroic launch, or game launch?)
3. send in a Heroic log file (see following message on how to get it)
?
Please see the following images on how to send a Heroic / Legendary / GOGDL / Nile log file:

Thanks for you help! I found Wine under \AppData\Roaming\heroic\tools\wine. I delete the wine folder and Heroic continues to function normally. When I close and relaunch Heroic, Wine downloads again. https://0x0.st/8_80.log
I believe I got the issue, testing a fix in a VM now
