Can't launch Linux version of HuniePop
It doesn't really matter to me anymore because I booted the Windows version through Wine and it worked perfectly but I thought I'd raise the issue anyway. HuniePop after attempting to launch will take a second and then show the launch button again without having done anything.
Running Debian 12 with KDE Plasma on an Asus Zenbook 14 Ryzen 7 7730U.

I should also mention that I have managed to boot other Linux games
Log seems to be of the Windows version?

My bad. Must have uploaded the wrong log
I'll reinstall the Linux version and grab a new log

This should be it

It seems to think it's some issue with the D-Bus Library?
./HuniePop.x86: error while loading shared libraries: libGLU.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
Try enabling Steam Runtime in the "Other" category of the game settingssecure-lavenderOP•2mo ago
Pretty sure I tried that but I'll give it another go
Same thing
When I first tried it, it couldn't find the runtimes so I pointed it to the correct location and after that it did the same thing as before
The problem here is that the game depends on older versions of some system libraries. Nothing we can really help with directly (up to the game developers to update it, which likely won't happen). Steam Runtime sometimes helps (this is precisely why it exists after all), but the way it's integrated in Heroic right now is somewhat hacky. Ideally we'd want to be using umu (the same thing that runs your Proton), but I haven't gotten to making that change yet

That's cool. I'm glad you already have an idea of what's up. I guess that just means for some games I'll have to test with the Steam Runtimes and if not, just install the Windows versions
Thank you so much for your help!
Note that Windows likely always will have more features. For one it's just the version supported by the developers, and there are some GOG-specific things that are either unlikely to work (GOG Galaxy integration) or straight up un-implementable (save sync)
(technically save sync can work, but the API doesn't supply a save path to sync, so it'd be up to us to build a DB)

I'm just happy to have a way to easily play GOG games on Linux. Curiously, any plans for other sources like Itch or Amazon eventually?
Amazon's already in, check "Manage Accounts" in the sidebar to log in
Other than that, there's always work being done at https://discord.com/invite/NbuTdpKFXx
