Unstable Z (@calibration)

Running My Z calibration seems to jump by at least 0.6mm after i changed BL touch Z offset. e.g. i adjust the "z offset" by 0.05mm and the physical offset changes from the usual range of -0.1 to +0.1mm, to the something like -0.2mm to +0.8mm - with a large random element to it. Config snip (including previous value): BL Touch [include config/z-probe/bltouch.cfg] [bltouch] #z_offset: 3.30 # HBS april 2023 z_offset: 3.35 # HBS april 2025 As you can see my offset is unchanged for two years, and I only did a very small adjustment but now it is all over the place after every calibration. i have double checked for physical problems, and find nothing - everything seems as rigid as expected. Info: Vcore3 500, changed to V.3.1. Klipper, RatOS 1.0 Prefered z-offset verification: heat bed to 60C, heat Nozzle to 200C, wait 5-10 min. auto calibrate x,y,z, z tilt, and z again. 0.15mm paper under nozzle, adjust z down til resistance i felt when moving paper. The printer is usually very stable, and nothing was changed for a year or so....

SOLVED: hotend PETG parts deformed by printing high temp, leading to every screw being very loose.... Stupid me. where do i buy a set of heatresistant parts for my EVA3 mosquitto hotend?

you will probably have to print them yourself or maybe someone in #print-services can help

Green part (PETG) was used to print the red (ASA). The Green needed a bit of Dremmel-care before the hotend assembly would be firm enough to print (at low speed)

Remember to change to heat resistant hotend before printing hot 🤓
