Computer Crashing

To preface, I am still working on diagnosing this myself, but looking to see if anyone else has run into this or knows a fix.

My entire computer is crashing somehow, and the only consistency is Planet Zoo. I've got a pretty new PC (specs listed below), and every couple hours (which makes it very hard to replicate and test), and my audio and video will freeze. Two of the four times, I have been able to move my mouse, but its slow and almost like its lagging, but I cannot click on anything, but both screens freeze. All four times, the audio glitches and freezes, the Discord stream I was watching two of the four times audio would stop entirely, but my game audio would be the only audio cutting in and out. I have looked at the Windows logs to no avail, I had task manager graphs pulled up and my CPU had spiked to 100% when it froze, and I tried setting my fans to full power and I still got a crash after that. I do have ASCE and PZ Plus mods installed, but nothing indicates that they are the issue. Until the next crash, I have the processes tab of Task Manager open to see if something that's NOT planet zoo is what spikes my CPU, but open to suggestions or thoughts. PC Specs: GIGABYTE B850 GAMING WIFI6 AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D RTX 5070Ti 32GB DDR5 RAM 5600MHz PZ is installed on M.2 SSD

I don't know if it's helpful because I'm not very skilled with computers. But lately when I start my steam it is constantly crashing and then it offers for me to restart it or restart it without "GPU Acceleration" I wonder if that might be something that could be messing with your computer.

It's happening to me too And it only happens to me in Planet Zoo, after years of playing it without problems, so I assume it's something direct with the game and some update I would wait until the next Planet Zoo update or the next NVIDIA driver update (interestingly we have the same graphics card) so that could be the problem as well

Sounds good, I’ll be keeping an eye out for both. Thankfully the issue seems to have subsided on its own, but I’m still getting little freezes for a two or three seconds every once in a while. But it seems we’re having the exact same issue. Thanks for the reply!

Hello I just want to say I came from google after reading this thread randomly because I'm having the exact same issue, and only in Planet Zoo aswell. brand new PC too so it's kinda comforting knowing it might come from the game and not our hardware, also I have pretty much the same setup as you OP, 9800x3D, 5070Ti on a Gigabyte X870 EAGLE WIFI7 same ram, game also installed on M.2 SSD. I have no mods installed. So yeah twice now did I have the computer freeze to death with no BSOD while playing planet zoo. but unlike OP it would never come back, on my multi monitor I could see the clock of the PC staying stuck at the same time showing it was completely frozen. My best guess is that it's caused by that new Nvidia driver, I had one such crash on driver version 576.02 and a previous one on the preceding driver I think 572.83. I think the GPU driver might be at fault because I'm having some random glitches on video playing in chromes sometimes (sort of black artifacts playing on top of the video for a couple of seconds) but this is just an assumption.
