Black screen on install both ways
Wanted to install Bazzite, so I went through the installer. Seemed to do well, but once it installed and rebooted, my monitor didn't get any signal. Thought it might be an installer issue, so I went to install Fedora to go through the alternate method. Fedora works fine, I go through the alternate instructions, asks me to do systemctl reboot. I follow its instructions, then it does the steps it did for the first Bazzite install, and now I have no signal again. Is it something with my PC, or does the latest Bazzite release have problems? If the former is true, what can I do to fix it?

For reference, I have it installed on a 1TB NVMe M.2 SSD, with an NVIDIA RTX 3060 12GB and a Ryzen 5 5600X.
i'm having a similar issue, RTX+AMD giving no signal, have you fixed this by any chance?
Do you get a signal if you type CTRL+ALT+F2 after booting?
Also, make sure you disable the internal GPU in your BIOS, although I don't think the 5600X has an internal GPU.
Yep, shows the terminal on both screens.
okay good
can you login and type
rpm-ostree status
?
You're on the wrong build
for 3060
type this
Oh wait never mind
i forgot the deck build has no -open at the end
It could be that game mode is not working
i guess i should have sent more info?
I used: bazzite-deck-nvidia-stable-amd64.iso
CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 5900X 12-Core Processor
GPU: GeForce RTX 3080 Ti
I think whatever issue i have is the same as the OP.
hope this helps...?
what happens when you type in
startplasma-wayland
in terminal
it should boot up KDE Plasma shell
gotta CTRL+ALT+F1-2-3 whatever it is abck into the right session
after its started up
if it boots up fine, i think game mode is not working for some reasonThat has... Fixed it ig?

Yep, so game mode is not working
You can either
1) rebase to non-deck image to boot straight into KDE Plasma
2) try and troubleshoot why game mode is not working
game mode is still in beta for nvidia
How can I rebase? Do I have to install a different iso, burn it, etc?
nope
just open terminal and type
bazzite-rollback-helper rebase bazzite-nvidia-open:stable
that's the desktop version of bazzite for RTX cardsOkay, thank you!
No problem 🙂
