Mac Mini M4 game crash upon loading world
I have severe problems with my game crashing with usage od DH. Crash occured upon loading world with dh active or just clicking to "True" in the setting to enable dh, just immediate crash and the Apple window was popping up with a java crash that was very long
First time it happened i pasted it into AI which told me to use dh 2.1.2 because its apparently the most stable and that embeddium was causing this because it was conflicting ith DH.
It was fixed at first but i began having those problems randomly again.
It was working fine and then just crashes again.
I wanted to make a post about it but i am unable to recreate the crash on purpose again, it just decided to work again but will break soon most probably so i want to know what to do.
I am sending a modlist i was using with crashes occuring, maybe one of those.
Also what are the best ways to use dh on mac, is it a special dh version? Do i not use the mentioned embeddium ( even tho i really need it for performance ). Whats the magic trick in using dh on macos with an m4. Please let me know.

IDK why AI likes DH 2.1.2 so much, but PLS update to latest stable release or latest nightly

ai is useless for these things
If the error will be Inderect is not Supported by Iris or something like that, try toggling instances rendering, and if that wonβt help:
- disable cloud rendering
- disable beacon rendering
- disable generic rendering
it will always give a pretty generic and useless answer to things like these because that's literally how it works
Mac has just really outdated OpenGL support, it is a miracle it still works
Best to get some hardware that support latest OpenGL that released back in 2017 with even older hardware then that still updating to support it
the crash when clicking the enable distant generation button is a known issue with forge 1.20.1
Okay yeah so update to newest version 100% dont use 2.1.2 or any other than 2.3.2
it really threw me off because when i actually downgraded to 2.1.2 version it worked flawlessly for a long period of time and then just started crashing again

Also would love to get some information about that Embeddium & DH complications that were apparently a thing?
i don't recall there being any issues with embeddium and DH, if there was, it's probably not the case anymore
Okay because after uninstalling embeddium dh worked immediately
might be that macos opengl problem miki mentioned
And regarding ai, i used perplexity on the max possible setting to do research on the topic so i dunno definitely better than chatgpt
doesn't matter, it still works the same way, it takes thousands of data points and makes an average out of it, which makes it useless for troubleshooting

Oh and we were doing tests on like specific biomes replaces with tectonic, other stuff with terrablender
So i needed dh too, in order to see those biomes that were generating
That means many worlds, many game restarts to update the configs and it was working for like an hour and then just nope, crash every time
if you could test it with nothing but DH installed and then get the logs, someone could figure out what the issue is
But when of course i tried to do that it worked

well i just tried again and still no crash
Um well first when it was crashing and ai told me about embeddium and i removed it, then it immediately worked again
after that i added embeddium again, changed to 2.1.2 and worked for 2 hours

create a new instance with fabric, and just dh and nothing else, and when, or if it crashes upon a world load, get the logs for it
