y=3[x]-2 = 2[x]+1 i.e y = 7 , [x]=3 3<= x < 4 6<= 2x<8 [2x] = 6 or 7

Shouldn't the last one be 1 or 2? (3<=x<4 or 1/3>=1/x>1/4, so 7/x is in the range (1.75,2.33])

Ye, both 6 and 7 satisfy. (Example, x=3.6)
