MacOS Server Problems
fabric 1.20.1
client crashes if DH is enabled (true) on server join.
Turning DH rendering to False solves the problem and you can join normally.
This happens 4 out of 5 times.

Alternative error, same problem (server join)
Server has DH same version installed.
Java is version 17.0.8, using 64 (aarch64) architecture, from Microsoft.
DH VERSION 2.3.2-b
Fabric Loader 0.16.14
Here's another crash, as this is reproducible:
not the solution, but you can update iris and sodium
I'll try that! Thanks
and when you do you can also remove indium because it is not needed anymore fo sodium 0.6+
So, I'm on 1.20.1 fabric
Sodium 0.6 is not out for that version
All mods are up to date
you're right, i mistook it for something else
No worries
Thanks for taking a look
other people have been reporting issues with dh on macos
it's likely their crap opengl compliance but there's some stuff you can try
Singleplayer worlds seem to have no issues. Maybe there is something triggering the crash from the DH server side data
well that's even weirder
get the latest.log log
Its an outright system crash/java heap so there is no stacktrace
those logs you sent are of system logs than the game's log
ah
so, nothing on the game's log and no game-generate crash log?
This is the game log
tailend of it
Everything prior is standard and atypical
gotcha
Looks like there are at least 3 other similar issues reported in other threads here
tried these?

Is there a beacon in the multiplayer world that is not there in singleplayer?
There are no beacons on this world yet
Toggling DH rendering off, joining the sever, and then turning DH rendering back on while in the world is okay.
I diagnose you with applitis
James figured out it is instances rendering
Yeah but why would turning it on after joining the world be okay then
Uh
Applitis
This happens to every client that joins my server on MacOS.
Disabling rendering on first join fixes the problem permantely, and all users can use rendering true after first join
They need the Windows drug
