Dual PC help (full chain)
I was wondering what my settings should be set to for Twitch and YT streaming. I am going for quality/sharpness/smoothness at max fps, and I do NOT have an internet limitation. currently my setup is as follows...
Game PC Specs - RTX 5070, i7-147000KF
Game PC/Primary Monitor - 2K (2560x1440) 240hz
Game OBS - Base Canvas/Output = 2560x1440p 60fps, (Preview projecting to capture card)
Capture Card - 2K (2560x1440) 120hz
Stream PC Specs - RTX 3070, i5-96000k
Stream PC Monitor - 1920x1080 (not sure if this will affect OBS)
Stream OBS - Base Canvas = 2560x1440 (because I am "capturing" a "2K" display)
Downscaled - 1920x1080p 60FPS (for Twitch) and 2560x1440p 60fps (for YT)
I use Aitum multi-stream plugin so...
Twitch - NVENC H.264, CB, 8000Kbps, Keyframe 2, P6, High Quality, Two Pass Quarter Res, profile - High, Look ahead unchecked, adaptive quantization checked, bframes 2
YT - NVENC H.264, CB, 25,000Kbps, Keyframe 2, P5, High Quality, Two Pass Quarter Res, profile - High, Look ahead unchecked, adaptive quantization checked, bframes 2

That all looks fine but does your capture card not support 240hz 1440p passthrough?
It’s better to not do any capture on the main PC
Just sending the preview as a projector to the capture card will require some headroom
And at that point you might as well just stream from the gaming PC
Especially since you have a GPU with such good video encoders built in
