1. List the specs of the gaming PC (CPU, GPU, motherboard)
2. What motherboard are you using for the streaming PC
3. What Elgato capture card do you have
4. What PCIe slot is the capture card plugged into
1. 13900k,4090,z690 edge ddr4
2.z690 msi pro-a ddr4
3. 4K60 mk2
4. The slot under the gpu
PCI_E3: PCIe 4.0 x4 (From Z790 chipset)
Did you make sure to update the drivers for the capture card and chipset?
And you're using 1440p as both the canvas and the output resolutions?
If it looks fine in the OBS preview then it's not an issue with the capture card
Post an OBS log here as well from a time you did a recording or stream
Drivers are updated
The preview looks grainy and choppy if I try to change to canvas to 1080p, I wanna stream at 1080p, should I leave the canvas at 1440p and downscale 1080p on the video option?

That looks as good as you can get with Twitch
My only suggestion would be to use NVENC for encoding since it'll look as good and often times better than x264.
For streaming use these settings:
- Use NVENC H.264
- Rate control: CBR
- Bitrate: 8mbps
- Preset: p5
- Tuning: High Quality
- Multipass mode: Two-Pass (Quarter Resolution)
- Profile: high
- Look-ahead: off
- Psycho-visual tuning: On
- Max b-frames: 2
For recording:
- Use NVENC AV1
- Rate control: CQP
- CQ Level: 20
- Keyframe interval: 1
- Preset: p1
- Tuning: High Quality
- Multipass mode: Two-Pass (Quarter Resolution)
- Profile: high
- Look-ahead: on
- Psycho-visual tuning: Off
- Max b-frames: 2
for dual pc still use P5 or higher its better?
You can try using p6 or p7 but you get to a point of negligible gains for a lot higher encoding compute cost
Best to try it out and see if you have encoding lag
For recording with CQP it isn't going to matter what preset you use
Basically presets are how much effort the encoder is going to use to try to squeeze quality gains into the same nitrate. For recording you can just lower the CQ value while still using preset p1 since recordings you don't have to worry about efficiency
P7 8000mb

X264 slow epox commands
8000mb

Tomorrow I will try the sittings you give.
Thank you
