Error with worldpainter world
Downloaded a world from https://earth.motfe.net/map-downloads/ for a 1:3000 earth OEM vegitation map, so it used world painter. Image attached is the errors im getting, and when I enable DH rendering, right outside render distance seems to be DH rendering the previous world before i replaced its regions folder.

Before loading up the world,
1. did you optimize it using the game's built-in world optimizer?
2. Have you changed the distance generation mode to use "Pre-existing Only"?
just did both but its still happening, gonna try to delete the LOD file
even after resetting the LOD data its still spamming the chat with these errors and loading much slower than usual, i think
Try removing DH and running Chunky over all terrain modified/saved by any outside programs (including worldpainter)
They do something weird to the chunks

just ran chunky over the whole world and nope, same error log spam
The world might be done for.
In that case, you may need to re-download it, then do all these before you enter the world.
did you try deleting the LODs after running chunky?
im gonna optimize it, run chunky on it, delete all old LODs, check all configs, then run DH and see what happens

im gonna re-extract and just try what you said with doing everything without even enterintg the world
There are some import settings in DH that you can change
You can try playing with those and maybe some configuration will work
wdym import settings
import here will be reading the vanilla chunks and making an LOD from that, a.k.a. importing existing chunks instead of generating a new one
IDK how it is called in game, as I haven't touched those
It will probably be in LOD building or importing, maybe generation, something like that

it was default false for the last 2 but i figured turning them to true would help it since its making it assume pre-generated chunks

-ing is slower then redoing it, at least it was slower the last time it was benchmarked and it is incompatible with some mods

-ing is good when it works as it does not chanage the chunks, but if the chunks that are assumed to be finished are not finished, well some data will be missing, and things can break

i optimized the world, did chunky, then trying to run DH with the new settings and its still spamming the error

that somehow made it worse, those chunks in the distance r completely wrong
What distance generation mode you have it set to?
pre-existing chunks only
but i briefly swapped through it to see if it would affect anything, so that may be it
chunks that i generate manually by flying around work perfectly, its just the generator being unable to use these region files
im searching the server for people with the same issue and its never been resolved b4, it might just be a bug with the generator

looks like this is a 1.21.5 specific issue
im considering downgrading to 1.21.4, running the generator, then going back to 1.21.5 and hoping the LOD file is compatible but im not sure if this will work
do you know if this would work before i go through the troubles of trying it
