Consider me new to modding, I need an Obi Wan.

I haven't done a lot of modding for Minecraft since Clay Soldiers and Build Craft were things, and back then I was just using Forge because it was what had all the mods I found better, or maybe it had all the mods, I can't even remember at this point. I only just found out about NeoForge because I was trying to figure out why DH wasn't working with my Forge setup, leading me to realize that if I want DH then I have to re-create my modpack entirely, which leads me to my main question(s). Can someone educate me on all the different mod loader things that exist nowadays? What's the difference between Forge, NeoForge, Fabric, Quilt? Am I missing any? I know I can google things, before I get nothing but that, but I want an actual person to actually educate me on this so that I actually know what I'm talking about if I ever have to tell someone else. Please and thank you, everybody.
Solution:
The differences between them is in theory just the mods that work with it, other than that they don't offer anything else

Forge is old and is usually more RAM hungry and NeoForge is kinda is replacement for the newest versions of Minecraft Quilt is dead Fabric is usually the go to for vanilla plus and client side QOL modpacks

so no substantial stability differences or features besides forge, just mod availability

Yeah

and I guess forge for older versions of MC, neo as the versions get newer, and that's basically it that's something I can work with

And Fabric for vanilla plus and client side QOL/optimisation modpacks

that's so much simpler than I was expecting it to be, thank you very much
