Black screen on boot after Bazzite HTPC installation with Intel Arc A580
I'm installing Bazzite for the first time on my machine, which is configured as a Home Theatre PC (HTPC) with Intel Arc A580 graphics. I used an image specifically for HTPC with Intel Arc and enabled Steam Gaming mode during setup.
I followed the installation instructions, ensuring CSM was disabled and Secure Boot was disabled. The installation process seemed to complete, but it hung on the message "Update complete, launching Steam...".
If I power cycle the machine, it boots to a blank screen. I can access the terminal and switch to desktop mode using
steamos-session-select desktop. However, from desktop mode, I am unable to start Steam.
I have updated the Bazzite image, which upgraded me from Bazzite 41 to 42, but the issue persists. Running the command ujust-fix-reset-steam also did not resolve the problem.
Are there any tips or ideas on how to troubleshoot or fix this issue?0 Replies
