Players were complaining quite a bit but I don't understand what happened to cause the issue in the first place
Oh damn

dont use /spark profiler open
use /spark profiler stop
the profiler died
Gah

try.. servercore
its vault hunters so uhh never expect 20 tps when theres 10 people
best thing you can do is upgrade hardware to ryzen 9 9950X

Ah unfortunate, I remember performance back then was still decent, guess their recent updates are really bad on server
I remember having at least 15 TPS with 15 players on a couple updates ago
oh nice!
How does this compare to the Ryzen 5 9600x? I was thinking of using that
Vault hunters is known to be very server heavy
I've got a friend helping to build a new server to colocate
This one is reaching player capacity limits
Its actually hard to compare cpus for minecraft
you can kinda look at single thread performance
hmm yeah that cpu seems to be fine
it just has less overall threads then the 9 9950X so its great for mc hosting
get some fast ddr5 ram to combine it with the ryzen 5 9600X and any kind of ssd and its a very good setup
forge is a lot worse than paper when it comes to some optimizations

Anyone has a clue as to the cause? This happened with 4 players online which confuses me
Dont have much experience with modded servers and im also on my phone rn but seems like this thing is causing problems
Or at least it was low when everything was alr and load on it grew with tps drop

But im not sure what it does and after some googling I only fround that it actually might mean that server has nothing else to do lol

net.minecraft.util.thread.BlockableEventLoop.waitForTasks()
increases to 25-35ms
So for some reason while server experiences tps drop it also decides to just wait
I guess maybe its just this thread waiting for the other.. possibly? That's weird as hell, does it mean that shared threads might be the cause? I own the hardware so I can dedicate threads to the server possibly
I think there is an option in spark to check different thread load
Or maybe you could find it somewhere in the thing already
I would just look into that and try to see whats causing the lag
It can be something simple just not easily noticable since you might look on the thread that is just waiting instead of checking the tgread with the problem
At least thats what i think the issue might be, but you prob want to hear from someone more competent in this lol
