Unbuttomned shirt and tie?
Is there any goodlooking way to wear a dressshirt and a tie but to have like the first 3-4 buttons of the shirt open??

This is 2 buttons and a very loose tie. I remember you saying you were into ivy style though, and unbuttoned shirt and tie will look different there.

how were you planning on wearing the tie? tied through the collar? tied and just hanging on your neck under the collar? untied and just hanging?
Yeah I didnt know that lol. Was wondering if tied just around the neck was an option so the collar could still be open yk
imo it seems a little lame - like what is the point of going through the effort of tying it but then saying 'oh i'm gonna not loop it through the collar'
your mileage may vary though
i've seen good fits with like 1-2 buttons undone and the tie otherwise set and tied normally, but you kinda have to get the tie length right or else it looks unintentional imo; a neckerchief achieves a similar result
Neckerchief is for sure a lot easier to make work
