Using Capture Card w/PS5, GOXLR, Audio Extractor. (Audio Issue. Low non-adjustable volume)
Everthing set up, Open Elgato capture software. Using Headphones with GoXLR. I have audio from the capture software and audio from the ps5. The Ps5 audio is way too low and I cant seem to be able to adjust, while the audio im recieving from the capture software is way too loud and is out of sync with the audio im getting from the ps5 so I had to mute the audio from the capture software. I just wonder how are other using their ps5 with capture card in conjunction with a mixer like the goxlr. Super confusing and annoying. I need to be able to increase the volume, my viewers arent even able to hear my game audio. Thanks for any help.

well the goxlr is a mixer and definitely lets you control the volume of every source
so I'm a tad confused as to what you're saying the issue is
When I adjust the volume It doesnt change
GG @Ghost Activity, you just advanced to level 5 !
all the sounds especially the dialogue is very faint and can barely hear
how do you have it connected
connected with audio extractor using a optical cable to xlr and headset plugged into xlr.
if i plug headset into ps5 controller the audo is as it should be but cant even be heard if plugged into xlr
I was receiving audio from monitor speakers also even after I disabled the speakers so i had to mute them
Its hard to explain kinda
either spdif not connected all the way
or extractor not giving loud enough signal
mgiht need 3.5mm extractor
The audio I receive from the Capture software is good but it echoes the audio from the ps5 so I just had to mute it. Maybe ill try another extractor.
yeah id check cables then blame the extractor
Am I supposed to have a cable running here?

yes
Damn ok so you think this would explain my issue?
no. lets see your goxlr settings

you are duplicating the console input here as well as system sounds. are you sure you arent using broadcast stream mix at all
wait
your extractor has 3.5mm out
grab a 3.5mm cable and run it to line in
see if its louder
(unplug optical first):D
dont have one on hand atm ill have to grab one
is your console volume at max in goxlr
yeah the fader is maxed. the volume is too lound on the capture device software
are you sure that's not just capturing the capture card audio
to be honest im not too sure. I just always kept it muted since it just echoed the audio I was already recieving in my headset.
Honestly Ive watched a good amount of vidoes on setting this all up and thought I followed it to the t. Might be a tad complex for me
Guys I think I got it.
well if the audio input on the goxlr was loud in OBS, then it's a problem w/ headphone routing/volume
if the audio input from the capture card was what was loud in OBS, that's not relevant to the GoXLR's input
I never paid much attention to the volume mixers in the XLR App. Didnt realize theres a slider for console volume
I think it was just not knowing I can adjust the console volume. It just had to be done insdie the goxlr app
>< that's what I asked as the very first question lol
Guess I should've been more clear
yeah the mixer in-app very important
for those extra inputs
My fault
Glad you got it! And didn't have to buy anything new
likely due to never needing to adjust cosole volume. Havent used ps5 much lol
Thanks so very much
😄
