Changing Date & Location of an Image That Was Included as an External Library Doesn't Work
When I try to edit the date or location of a image it throws me the following error in the logs:
When is it looking for an xmp file instead trying to edit exif data?

In order to be able to effectively help you, we need you to provide clear information to show what the problem is. The exact details needed vary per case, but here is a list of things to consider:
- Your docker-compose.yml and .env files.
- Logs from all the containers and their status (see above).
- All the troubleshooting steps you've tried so far.
- Any recent changes you've made to Immich or your system.
- Details about your system (both software/OS and hardware).
- Details about your storage (filesystems, type of disks, output of commands like fdisk -l and df -h).
- The version of the Immich server, mobile app, and other relevant pieces.

this is because immich will never alter an original file (it's against the immich development design). The original asset will remain unchanged, however xmp files will store additional / altered data related to the asset.
ah I see makes sense! so if there is no xmp it will try to create one I suppose?

Is your library read-only perhaps? It might have tried to edit it in the past but failed to save
okay got it to work! I had to apply again permissions recursively, looked like the one sub-directory it tried to write to didn't have the permissions as the other directories
