Washer ruined my jacket--anyway to fix?
I have this dark green jacket that originally looked like pic 1 but after putting it in the washer (forgot to turn inside out, bad mistake) it came out looking like the next pic.
Is there any way to fix it? I put it in the washer again so it gets more faded to even out but this time put it inside out bc im scared i might overdo it, however it just turned out the same
Any tips? Should i resort to sanding it to do manual fadez for a more consistent overall color?
p. s. Not feeling too bad about it bc its from zara but this is one of the best cut of jacket that Ive have and would hate to not wear it for the silhouette

Not really a way to fix this unless you wanna just overdye the jacket
which is def a thing you can do if you want to make it 1 more uniform color, but i'm not mad at the fading idea
Ive never dyed anything in my life before. Is this gonna be hard
i've also never dyed anything b4 either
Oof lol
but i dont think so
im just lazy
are u lazy
Cant really find the guide for sandpapering denim
dying isn’t too hard, but u gotta make sure the dye will dye the threads too
On second thought
I can just bleach this no?
fwiw i think it looks fine.
like it looks like a worn denim jacket.
it honestly looks very good as is. and dyeing is difficult esp. because i think for this color, if you're starting with like rit dyes, you'd probably have to mix a couple of dyes to color match it.
I mean give it a try if you want. For cotton (which I assume this jacket is) it won't be hard to do. You just have to accept that it may never look like the before picture again
im ngl that looks cooler lol
Yeah thats fine if its never like before, if i can turn it light wash it's all good
But it turns out this is actually pigment dye and not reactive dye--bleach isnt as effective against pigment
