Getting different error messages when loading any game at the moment.

don't use proton 10
instead use latest builds of proton-ge or umu-proton, they are designed to work with non-steam games

Ok... so I when I got to the computer this morning, I tried proton-ge again on a few games and all of them are now starting. I did nothing since this post. Totally confused. I even left Heroic running.
Now I'm stuck with getting Battle.net re-installed. That's what started this mess.
I'll work through it and come back once I've gotten my arse kicked a few times.
Thank you BTW. I likely wouldn't have tried ge again for a while if I you had not replied.

that error is related to steam, it needs steam client to run in background

Ok got that working. The most mysterious issue is that when I went to re0install Battle.net, it ouwld NOT run the install before adding the executable. Like Run Installer First was a dead button.
I just started working. 25 years of engineering and I still get baffled at weird bugs like this. Ha!
Is that for Proton to be valid and run?

GE-Proton9-27 does not work with Battle.net right now. You need something based on Wine or Proton 10, such as wine-staging-tkg

install ProtonPlus thru ur package manager
Then use it to install Wine-Staging-Tkg (Kron4ek) 10.7 for Heroic Games Launcher
