Rockstar wont scan GTA V i downloaded.
Hello everyone. I downloaded Grand Theft Auto 5 using the heroic games launcher (The epic games version) But in the rockstar launcher it says that it havent found any titles in my computer and it says "Buy now" instead of play. Is there a fix to this?

it says "In the game's settings in Heroic, in the Advanced tab, select the created fix.bat file in the Select an alternative EXE to run field" but i only see "Choose and alternative legendary binary", "Choose an alternative GOGDL Binary to use" and "Choose an alternative Nile Binary"
You're looking at the global settings ("Settings" in the sidebar). The game settings are accessible with the button on the game card / game page

Not sure if Proton (as in Proton from Valve) will work here, might want to download & use GE-Proton (download through Heroic's Wine Manager, then set it as the Wine Version to use in the game settings)

Also, enable umu by checking and un-checking the "Disable umu" option (also in the game settings). It's actually enabled by default, just visually shown as disabled

- Try deleting your Wineprefix (
/home/sajmon/Games/Heroic/Prefixes/default/Grand Theft Auto V Enhanced) maybe?

Your Wineprefix is a virtual Windows environment. It has nothing to do with any real Windows OSs you have installed

Make sure the file is named exactly

i also tried the GE-prtoton-latest. here at least the rockstar launcher comes up but the game isnt recognized as installed#

Yes, that's the old workaround. It won't work anymore (due to Rockstar's changes). Follow the instructions in the Wiki to apply the new workaround, which will work
