Sometimes the stars align and you encounter a stranger IRL who has the sauce - what do you do? Flight, fight, freeze, strke up a conversation, something else? Have you been inspired by strangers you've encountered in your fashion journey?

I once saw a guy at a shopping centre, and I loved the particular tee he was wearing. He looked a lot like me so I figured it would look good on me too. I asked where he got it from and he pretended he didn't know, then gave a fake shop name. Later on I found a place that sold those tees and I saw him tucking them behind other items. When he saw me he quickly left the shop.
I didn't get the tee in the end.
I still usually compliment strangers though.
i normally don’t compliment strangers bc i’m a very nervous and anxious person, but i do mention how cool the persons outfit was to whoever i’m with

I‘m a big fan of complimenting strangers on their fits (if they’re not in the middle of something!!) because it always makes my day when someone comes up to me so I want to give that energy back into the world

one time i walked past a lady wearing the exact same horse bag and a way better coat than me
If I see someone dressed well I usually tap them on the shoulder and quietly gesture to the sky where a plane I've hired has written "cool fit"
I tell them I love their outfit. Happened again two days ago, dude looked soooo coooool at Target. Full goth fit. Great accessories.
Saw a guy a while back wearing the same ald unisphere hat as me at trader joes. I walked up and was like “you have good taste man” and he turned around and was like “ayyyyy hell yah dude” and then we dapped it up and parted ways. Overheard is girlfriend go “did you know that guy?”
Getting compliments on my outfit is awesome! So I try to do the same for others.
Always try and do it when I appreciate a part of someone's outfit.
I remember seeing a guy on the street wearing a Kapital bomber and a pretty nice outfit was walking by and smoking a cig while I was chatting with a group of friends. I excitedly told him "nice jacket bro!", he gave me the up-and-down, and then went "yeah" as he quickly moved past. I was laughed at by my friends.
