As for people who ive been following for years, nthea and oppon_ on instagram have been a level of stylish i could ever only aspire to be, their layering and creativity seems to have no bounds

i lurked on mfa for a while but one particular Instagram post from @Shrimp my Ride was the impetus for actually thinking about clothes, which led to @sioku and then the discord
@ginsoul has become a great inspiration for me in terms of designer fashion

I joined this server january 14th of this year. I had very minimal experience with dressing how i liked and was very used to be dressed by a fashionable partner.
I didn’t know where to even begin, there’s just so much to look at here that it can get overwhelming.
Fast forward 4 months and i am confidently shopping for myself, planning out all my first, and just genuinely enjoying the expression of me.
Zeo and Kyn have really made this so much more of a comfortable adventure.
Zeo and I haven’t had many conversations but the ones that we HAVE had stick with me when I am trying to figure out what i want to do. He has helped me become a little more introspective and less worried about outward validation. This has been the foundation of my journey so far
Kyn my beloved!!! Kyn was not here when i first hit the scene and hasn’t been back for long but i’ve seen all i need to see to know just how wonderful of a person they are. Kyn has shown me exactly how to shop for myself in the most effective ways possible for someone in my size. Kyn, thank you for being so willing to help and support dumbasses like me!!!
As far as inspiration goes, my inspiration is not indicative of my style but indicative of my excitement to dress up.
@calla you were my first exposure to such a creative personal style and i talk about you nearly every single time i get on the subject of fashion.
@shrimpy and @Digs keep me excited and motivated to find cool shit that fit me well when i could just mope about modern fashion sizing

Banter with @I'm Lagging and @adaptation always gets me thinking about CDG, yohji and darkwear brands more. Interacting with @sethp more often has been a huge inspiration on how I interact with fashion socially and has gotten me more active in photography and fashion than I've been in a long time.
@tman916 was one of the first people to reach out to me on fashion discords and add me to his community. He will forever be one of my GOATs for that.
@De La Joel and @will are big inspirations for yohji styling and a huge thanks to Joel for adding me to the Jacargon server which has been a great way to interact with that side of fashion.
@midi @oman121 and adapt are inspiring in the way that they interact with fashion and I learn a lot from it.
@pinkkea's willingness to try things and love of whimsy has helped shake off any jadedness I've had towards fashion and to remind myself to just have fun with it.
@algoresky @I Play Nidalee @kyn @shrimpy and so many of my other browsing fiends have taught me new tricks and it's been so much fun to share a similar way of interaction with fashion.

Yeah this place rules. When I first joined I felt a kinship with @braindrops just as a wavelength thing. A lot of high frequency names as inspo people: Zeo , Ethan (also his writing), art, beans, wonky, mooses.

I wanna thank the people in the BB album as well. That album has been a starting point for me with a bunch of guys in my life who have asked me "I wanna dress better, but I don't know where to start, what do I do?" It's helped me and them map out a direction based on the themes they end up liking or disliking, so your contributions are much appreciated.
I was typing up a ping list but I'm realizing it's 1 to 1 with everyone already in this thread so instead I'll just say that every single person who posts to waywt is inspiring to me for putting themselves out there so constantly and every single post helps me develop my own sense of style and I'm really grateful for this community and everyone in it. finding this server has really encouraged me creatively not just in fashion but so many other places in my life as well and I'm a better person for it now, and it's entirely due to everyone in here.

i value this community a lot and i've said this before but there's incredible power in being able to have a pocket community of people who are interested in many of the same things you're interested in. niche microcommunities were always to me the most interesting parts of the internet, and i'm glad to be in this space. to me this is a life long study in being inspired by the things, people and circumstances around me. in many others i also see this reflected, and it's a joy for me to watch people transform.

This totd is just what I needed to come home to after a long day of travel. I appreciate this community a lot. There are a lot of posters here that have had a direct influence on how I dress. But not only that, the helpfulness in q&a, the fit doctor threads, the deep knowledge that some posters have on fashion, the way some people here can explain and share their values, and the gifs that I can never unsee again have all been very inspiring as well. I'm way too tired to make a list of users that would in any way be complete or do justice. But I appreciate you all. Most importantly this server has inspired me to put that shit on and participate in an online fashion community for the first time after having lurked around a lot of them in the past, and I've never had more fun dressing!
Yeah, on top of all the inspo the people here changed the way I think about clothes, and thus how I feel in my own clothes, and that’s something I’ll take with me the rest of my life no matter how I dress.

There are TONS of people here and in other places (online and real) who have inspiried and influenced my personal style. But if I was to single out one person it would be @TheVirt , who really mentored me through finding my personal style some years ago. What he was wearing at that time was quite close to what I was after, and he was incredibly patient and supportive with giving me guidance and helping me grow.
He's a good friend and I am eternally grateful to him for it. Plus his fits continue to kill it!
When I joined this server, I thought that clothes needed to reflect your lifestyle. Big shoutout to @Smiles (shuttuahp 🏆), @sam, @sharloy, and bishop for convincing me otherwise (rightfully calling me out) and generally changing how I view clothes

Been mostly a lurker my entire life through fashion forums, but mfad has been the first place I’ve felt strongly enough to post and participate.
Style wise, I will say the variety and authenticity here has been the best out of all the places I’ve seen, and I think I would have been really stuck had I not joined. A little too shy to ping but just know I’m constantly getting inspired by what everybody posts in waywt, even if it’s not my style.
