Have you ever consigned your clothes before? What was your experience like? Any tips for people getting rid of their #1 MENSWEAR? On the other side, do you shop consigned clothes?
i cosigned some stuff yesterday def helps to have a bigger reach for selling items, lots of the time when grailed and discord doesnt work the right audience for my closet tends to be the people going to those cosignments
really depends on where you go to, most shops i go to take 50% of the amount they make but i know stores like TRR can take upto 70%, just need to see if its worth your while
I use LuxeSwap, they have a trade up program with NMWA so I get an extra 10% back in store credit. It's pretty easy, the fees are higher than if you did it yourself. It's worth it for me since they take the photos, take measurements, and ship it out.
Most of the time I just put stuff on ebay, but there’s some brands/cuts/whatever that do really poorly on ebay and I would rather just let TRR deal with, even if their cut is brutal sometimes. In my experience there’s a pretty significant overlap between stuff I got on grailed 5+ years ago and stuff I can only really get rid of now on TRR.
TRR is ass but there’s no longer anywhere else I can click a button and make my acne aces disappear from my sight forever and maybe get twenty bucks out of it
Done / doing it with Marktt in the UK. It's OK. Their submission process is proper shite though and their 48 window is a lie. Sometimes I've had to email them a follow-up to get things rolling. But sometimes it's nicer just to do consignment and mentally forget
Consignment stores in Canada are generally very good at identifying counterfeits and don't allow that in my experience. The real issue is a lot of the good stock in men's is xs or s and I am neither
