Looking for a summer hat
Hello! I’m looking for a straw hat that can be worn with tailoring (outside, of course) but also casually. I’m bald, and require shade! Specifically I want a brim whose shade covers my nose. What are some styles that are easiest to wear?

I think the happy medium is probably a stetson open road

Although i would recommend shaping the sides a bit to give a slightly more western vibe and slightly less fedora vibe which would be make it more in trend rn
That a good call, thanks! If I wanted to lean slightly more formal would you stick with the same but unshaped? Or something else?
I think it works in its standard shape fine if you left like that it would still look good
You could also look for a Panama. Nytimes had a cool story about the weavers in Ecuador a few years back 🎁

Creamy as silk and costlier than gold, a Montecristi superfino Panama hat is as much a work of art as it is of fashion.
My understanding is a Panama means it’s woven with straw and from Ecuador - but that there are many many many styles. Is that wrong?
