Nausea/motion sickness using Bazzite

TLDR: I’ve been experiencing nausea/motion sickness while using Bazzite for general desktop computer use and gaming, and am looking for any help or guidance.

I’m brand new to both Linux and Bazzite, but installed it on a spare drive I got hoping to switch over full time on my personal PC before windows 10 loses support. I started with the desktop KDE version and was really enjoying that, except colors in most games I tried seemed alittle washed out with and without HDR. I rebased to the Bazzite-Deck version and besides losing my secondary monitor in gaming mode it’s been great. The games I’ve tried so far look awesome, generally run better than on windows, and still being able to access desktop mode works well for me.

The biggest issue is that after using the desktop mode and playing games for awhile it seems to give me a nauseous feeling. I’ve tried increasing and decreasing brightness a bit but neither seems to help much. I tried switching from a Wayland session to x11 but I’m not sure that did anything and I don’t think that’s an option with the Bazzite-deck version. In desktop mode reducing the scale to what both my monitors use in windows (100% for main and 125% for secondary) helped a bit but I still get the nauseous feeling after awhile.

The 3 main games I’ve tried so far are FIFA22, Cyberpunk 2077, and Monster Hunter Rise. The feeling is much less noticeable but still present at times in FIFA22. Cyberpunk has seemed fine until somewhere between the 1 to 1.5 hour mark where it starts to hit. MH Rise I’ve only been able to get through 1 quest at a time before having to step away from my computer for awhile.

I work remotely with my monitors hooked up to my work laptop, game a few nights a week, and a bit more on weekends. Basically I spend a good deal of time looking at these monitors and have only experienced nausea from them once before. I’m just wondering if anyone else has experienced something similar and/or has any tips. Any help is appreciated!
