rocket league failing to start

Brand new install via HGL's Epic Store interface EOS is enabled, corefonts installed as per https://github-wiki-see.page/m/Heroic-Games-Launcher/HeroicGamesLauncher/wiki/EOS-Overlay Still crashes even without EOS enabled though so I doubt that's the issue Using Proton-GE-latest, tried disabling and re-enabling umu, w/e that is, at the suggestion of one of the Helpers Launching the game causes a small box to flicker open too quickly for me to see what it is, then RL's launching window comes up but without the RL banner, just a black background, then it crashes. Also for the love of why do I have to go into the Settings to get the game log? Why isn't that an option on the game's menu?
Do you mean from Heroic? If so, it is an option on the game's menu. what file system is this drive? /run/media/Library
