9070XT and New Bethesda Games Issue
Hello, I have a 9070XT gpu + 5900X cpu combo pc I’m using as a HTPC running the Bazzite deck image. My issue is that the newer Bethesda/Microsoft games (Indiana Jones and Doom: The Dark Ages, could also include Oblivion remastered but I haven’t tried it yet on this pc) have a colorful static overlay over the whole screen. Basically it’s impossible to play because it’s hard to look at. This has only occurred in these specific games and I’m assuming it’s because of the forced ray tracing. Thought I’d let you guys know in case it hasn’t been reported yet. Hopefully it can be fixed. Should mention I have hdr enabled but it’s the same with it off and I’m using the HDMI port on the gpu.

try GE-Proton10-1 released this morning. it incorporates mesa patches for several Doom games, including Dark Ages
Sadly it didn't work 😦
So Oblivion remastered is fine. Currently only occurring in Indiana Jones and Doom: The Dark Ages

yeah most likely to do with raytracing
Think you need to wait for the MESA version to be released in Bazzite.

Mesa 25.0.6 released with AMD GPU fixes for DOOM: The Dark Ages on ...
The open source Mesa 25.0.6 graphics drivers bug-fix release is out now, and thankfully this one comes with the updates needed to run DOOM: The Dark Ages on Linux with Proton when you have an AMD GPU.
Okay so toggling “Force Composite” in the developer settings fixed it completely

Thanks everyone for responding to my issue!
For anyone wondering I found the solution in the Bazzite documentation https://docs.bazzite.gg/Handheld_and_HTPC_edition/quirks/
