you shouldn't start steam games with Heroic, this is fundamentally wrong

use ProtonUp-qt or ProtonPlus - both of these can be installed as flatpaks

or if you want to do it manually, simply extract proton-ge into ~/.steam/steam/compatibilitytools.d/

i wonder me why steam it not self build in the GE version

its made by community, Valve has their own builds of Proton that they make available in steam

fuseblk means it's NTFS. that is not supported for Linux gaming

fair-roseOP4mo ago
hm but is this the reason? heroric can it start why not steam
ratty-blush
ratty-blush4mo ago
because Heroic is putting the prefix in a different folder Heroic by default puts the prefix onto the internal drive Steam puts the prefix on the drive where the game is installed there is a workaround, which I can direct you to, but I will not provide support for it afterward

you could just move the game to your installation drive using the "Move install folder" command in that screen above that'll let you play it
