Larger videos not background syncing
I'm onboarding to Immich, server and web UI are working great and I've got the Android app configured to do bg sync. On Thursday evening I attended an event where I created some longer videos on my phone (2-4 minutes). This morning (Saturday) I noticed that the photos and shorter videos from the event had synced to the immich server, but the longer videos had not. Once I opened the Immich app on my phone, they were synced a few minutes later.
Is this expected behavior or do I have something misconfigured? I'm migrating from Mylio partly because my phone photos don't sync to Mylio unless I open the Mylio app. If I forget to open the app for a while, there's a chance that the photos don't get ingested before they're pushed to Google Photos and purged to make space on the phone. I was hoping Immich and its background sync would solve that issue for me.
Thanks!

If this ticket can be closed you can use the /close command, and re-open it later if needed.Sounds like I might be encountering the issue described here: https://github.com/immich-app/immich/issues/4208 where larger videos don't background sync, possibly due to the phone killing the bg process for battery optimization or other reasons. I have a Pixel 7a, btw. May not be anything I can do about it, or maybe I just need to be more patient and give it a few more days, but if there are settings I can tweak that would make this more reliable I'd love to know!
Nothing you can do. We have work to improve the background sync but because of task killing it may never be fully reliable for large videos
