To Iron or Not To Iron - Topic of the day 5/18/25
Wrinkles give texture, but they certainly change the style and message of an outfit. Any rules you follow for when to embrace the wrinkles and when to smooth them out?

i usually try to hit stuff with a steamer before wear but some stuff looks good wrinkled or just doesn't wrinkle much in the first place
sometimes
Once a week you'll find me ironing pocket flaps and collars
depends on the material for me, most linens or flowy fabrics i let wrinkle and fold, but for more traditional shirting i like to keep relatively unwrinkled
Dress shirts I always iron. OCBDs I'll try and iron if they're wrinkly from the wash. Linen shirts I'll steam or iron, but understand it will wrinkle immediatley with wear.
Don't have room for an ironing board, I have a steamer and it does the job
Yeah I like to steam/iron linen before wear so it gets wrinkles from wear instead of from the washing/hanging. It's probably not truly necessary but I like the cleaner look.
i find that if something wrinkles very badly i just gravitate to not wearing it
I don't think I've ironed anything in years. Normally my shirts get pretty un-wrinkled while they're drying on a hanger. I'll tug on the bottoms and flatten them out a bit while they're still wet, but that's it
I steam that shit hard
I only really iron if my pants seams get saggy
if im planning on wearing a shirt to work and its wrinkly, ill usually iron it
or if a collar is sticking up weird or if the pocket flaps are all messed up
yeah i love not having to do anything for the needles shirts
I used to iron but I don't have an iron anymore so now I dont iron
can’t use what you don’t own 😎 (i also do not own an iron but have considered getting a small handheld steamer)
Idk if I'm just blessed (I am but also) but my clothes don't get wrinkly
arent u a raisin....
I iron everything all the time
