Can't access eos-overlay

Hi, followed this: https://github.com/Heroic-Games-Launcher/HeroicGamesLauncher/wiki/EOS-Overlay

Current install is flatpak, but I've also tried appimage.

I've been testing on the following games:

chess ultra (this has multi from the get go, so best for testing I think?)
bloons 6 TD (this has been referenced by someone on reddit as having EOS support, altho I'm not sure if there's no level requirements)
original issue I'm trying to solve is dead island 2 but that's way too big and too slow to do any testing on

My setup is AMD GPU, EndeavourOS, not steamdeck, xorg, i3

Also after launching the game I pick EGS for a source of friendlist, it loads and connects, but trying to use any online features like tournaments fails. Shift-F3 does nothing.

So you might've noticed a lot of similar EOS related support threads already, and we've found that the latest version of EOS Overlay broke something; a fix was identified and will most likely be included in the next GE-Proton version

oh! I didn't actually, searched for eos-overlay but mostly found posts without answers. Haven't checked the dates though, my bad. Thanks.
