doom dark ages renders rgb squares with latest stable bazzite on 9070

hey folks, I updated bazzite for doom: the dark ages as I have read MESA has been updated elsewhere in the server. the game runs but looks like this. Am I doing something very wrong? I have a 9070 non xt. ty!
