CS2 bad experience (frames and refreshrate)
I'm having some issues on CS2. Game starts and runs, but if I have my second monitor enabled, i dont feel the frames im getting. FPS counter says 200-400 but it feels like 50. Also when disabling 2nd monitor i get more stable 300-400 frames and it feels smooth. Anyone know anything ab it? Is it just related to having Nvidia GPU?

in my experience cs2 has always been a bit clunky through emulation (granted I haven’t tried It on linux, I do all the macOS stuff here LOL), but generally it’s like
really inconsistent user to user
I’ve had people get stellar performance and others get the most insufferable experience even with hardware and conditions equal

Dx11 is not x11
You wouldn’t be using DX anything except for DXVK to translate from DX to Vulkan

Mint isn’t great for gaming given the backdated nature of packages. I hate how /r/linux_gaming still has it at the top of the list

I NEED a clean desktop relatively easy to use. Thats partly why I wanted to use Linux in the first place

Either can be clean. Gnome kinda forces the issue by not having desktop icons by default

as long as customizing a close similar desktop works in kde plasma I'll consider it
on Mint I had a tray with open applications where I could right click for example Vesktop and get extra buttons like "Fix Vesktop"
but now I dont have a tray and Vesktop is acting up
