DWinchester - Trying to get auto pilot interfac...
Trying to get auto pilot interface to st5000+ functioning. Have Digital Yacht seatalk1 to USB to do communication. Can someone tell me the configuration settings for the serial interface on Raspberry PI. Right now I am seeing intermittent operation and only when I have terminal monitor running. If terminal monitor is not running the auto pilot is dead.

Sorry to say I have no experience with the seatalk1 stuff. But that does not make sense. Only one process can have a serial port open at a time.
