doubt regarding Hofmann exhaustive elimination product

after rxn with CH3-I what are the factors for formation of the Hoffmann product? for eg i know the hydrogen at beta position is eliminated, and the carbon with the lowest degree is chosen for elimination. in case of 2 same degree carbons, how is elimination decided? eg question :

Ag2o ko jab moist karte hai toh it turns into agoh Here, this acts as a base and acid base reaction occurs. So most acidic H is removed

i am still not sure. in the first example of this, the lesser acidic H is removed and also hoffman product is minor, it doesnt make sense
