"Error loading image" when skipping through photos too fast?

When I open a picture and then skip through the images rather fast with the arrow keys, I get "Error loading image" quite often. Moving one photo back and then forward again then loads the picture successfully. Going through the images slowly works fine, all thumbnails in the timeline load correctly. Mobile app also does not show this issue. Does anybody experience this as well? Is there some fix for this? My setup: I recently migrated my 300GB image library to Immich, running via Docker Compose on a VPS (Ubuntu Server / SSD). External HDD storage mounted via SFTP / RClone as UPLOAD_LOCATION (Hetzner Storage Box). Immich v1.133.0

mounted via SFTP / RClone as UPLOAD_LOCATION
There should be no issue loading images, but saturating your network connection is very possible

Thanks, that could definitely be the issue. I just found it a bit weird that the "Error loading image" shows pretty much instantly if the picture takes more than a few milliseconds to load. I would have expected some kind of loading animation or something when the storage connection is not "fast enough" to display the image instantaneously, and maybe show the error message after a few seconds.

To me it shows the downsides of using an rclone mount for this 👀

Guilty as charged 🤐 Anyways, it's just a minor hickup and it's still working way better than I ever expected. Would be interesting if the same thing happens on slower, locally connected HDD storage as well. Might do some testing on that. For anyone interested: I switched from RClone mount / SFTP to CIFS mount and now the loading issues are gone.
