looks like a graphics related error might have to do with outdated drivers your drivers are 7 months old

it work on vanilla WINE (also launched by Heoric). Only with Proton it isn't working.

AFAIK, vanilla Wine doesn't have the DirectX→Vulkan translation layer, so it won't be trying to initialise Vulkan.

yes, true. So my guess is that that part is buggy.
