Distant Horizons makes the game crash when joining a server with a save file for an older mc version

Let me clarifiy since it might sound confusing; my instance is a fabric 1.12.5 with the latest mod loader patch as of now (16.14), and i have hoth DH and ViaFabricPlus installed. The issue happens whenever i try to enter a world that has an old world format, thats not optimized for newer versions of minecraft. Meaning that if a 1.16.1 server runs a 1.16.1 world, i can join it thanks to viafabric but really i cant because DH keeps erroring before i even get in and ends up crashing the instance. TL;DR Im just asking for an option to disable DH alltogether for specific servers
Solution:
Still no, you can hide everything DH does by disabling the rendering, and you can set CPU load to minimal, then in advanced threading decreasing everything even more. That will effectively disable DH, but DH will still at least try to do things
