Nice work!
Somewhat unrelated to this release…what hardware do you use/recommend for connecting your Signal K to nmea2000? I just got back to the US after 6 months in the islands and am going to order some hardware to level up my setup. Previously my signalk was read-only because it was getting data via a Vesper XB 8000, but would love to connect it to the network

Important Pre-order Information This is a pre-order product. Pre-order pricing is 15% reduced compared to the final product pricing. The pre-order prices stay in place until the product launch. The estimated launch date is early June, but delays are possible. Pre-orders will be shipped in the order they were received.
The socketcan hardware is best IMHO because we have complete control compared to the products from Actisense, etc.
SH-RPi v2 indeed doesn't help much with N2K (v1 did but for v2 I thought it'd be a good idea to make it more generic). But like Scott wrote, the Waveshare board does a good job. And HALPI2 will be even better, with a CAN controller with a bigger RX buffer. :-p
I just received the third proto/pre-production batch today but couldn't test them yet. Tomorrow will be an exciting day.
Awesome, thanks @Scott Bender for the recommendations. I have a couple boats I'll be installing signalk on this summer, so I'm excited to experiment with all these.
@Matti Airas any idea when sailorhat will be back in stock?
The HALPI2 looks awesome. I have a non-technical firend that I'm going to help get signalk running this summer, so I'll recommend he just order that. I'm excited to play with it.
Should be in a few days. I have a good pile of partially assembled PCBs in stock; I just need to find some time to assemble, test and package them.
(meh, replied to the wrong message)
Awesome. I just put in a big order of other stuff, but I'll keep an eye out for it.
thats a cool device @Matti Airas !
what are you using there for the canbus? As you mention better RX buffers, I assume its not the MCP2515 ?
Thank you kindly!
It's MCP2518FD
Oh sorry, no chatter on this channel. Continuing in #hardware.
