CS2 and darktide stutter

Today I installed KDE bazzite on my RTX 4080 + ryzen 7845HX laptop. Bare metal, no virtual machines, no dual boot. I am trying to make CS2 and Warhammer 40k: Darktide run smooth. CS 2 - runs 200-250 FPS, but every 2-3 seconds it stutters, making it unplayable. Darktide - this game runs like shit on windows too, but it doesn't stutter much. Here I have microstutter, running 90-120 FPS, but every 5-10s I have a frametime spike that feels like skipping a few frames. Not as severe as in CS2. It would be nice if someone knows how to resolve these issues. It would also be useful to get like a cheat sheet in troubleshooting stutters. Important context: Yesterday I finally took a step in ditching windows and installed latest cachyOS (arch) on my laptop. KDE plasma 6.something with wayland. I configured it as suggested by youtuber A1RM4X. It comes out of the box with nvidia open drivers. So I download cs2, and to my surprise it stutters. So after 6 hours of fighting with it, I resolved it by switching from wayland to X11. It seems to me that bazzite KDE is also on wayland, so if that is the issue, I will need to install X11? Then, I decided to try a non-native game, Darktide. First it didn't launch at all, but that was fixed by selecting bleeding edge proton experimental. After it finally launched, I noticed it microstutters, frametime spikes as high as 40ms every ~5 seconds. So I fought with it for another 6 hours, but to no avail. Now I tried many things in cachyOS, and I doubt trying them again in bazzite will help one bit. But here is a list: switching kernels switching between wayland and X11 switching between open and closed nvidia drivers LD_PRELOAD="" gamemoderun full screen / windowed DLSS on/off Disabling RT from ini file (it is disabled in UI anyway) steam overlay on/off precompute shaders on/off sched-ext lavd So I eventually gave up and decided to try bazzite, hoping the same issues won't exist, but alas, they do.
