Getting logged out after returning to game mode without display

I'm using the bazzite-deck:stable image on the Steam Deck LCD, and I've been experiencing an issue for the past few days.
When I switch to desktop mode while an external monitor is connected, and then try to return to game mode, Bazzite switches back to desktop mode and logs me out. This happens when the attached display loses focus, for example by switching back to the input from my other pc.
This also happens on my TV, but I'm not sure if this is related, as the TV doesn't really switches the input, at least as far as I know.
I read that this could be due to Steam crashing for some reason, and that running just fix-reset-steam might help. Sadly, it didn’t. The issue still occurs whenever the display loses focus.
Does anyone know how I can fix this?
