Games refusing to launch
Hey everyone, having an issue here where my game is just refusing to launch it just flashes a terminal twice and goes back to play now. It's throwing this error but I'm not sure how to go about fixing it

others have resolved their bwrap issues with this, but they were also Ubuntu users not SteamOS

I have the same issue on Nobara. Any GE Proton seems to do this. I also get it with flatpak heroic.

CachyOS Proton with UMU disabled seems to work.
Not sure if there's any benefit to this combo instead of just using wine-ge8-26.

Wine GE is over a year old and will not be updated again. I suggest using what is newer and works until someone is able to come up with a more permanent or durable solution for EA games

I literally only dealt with any of this because Heroic said similar. What works is better than what is newer.
I should add that I have had 2 more crashes since the above message.

Sure, but EA frequently breaks their launcher which gets addressed by Proton updates

This was the final solution for me, disabling UMU and it runs fine with proton latest as well
